How Folkso works

You connect Folkso to ChatGPT or Claude once. Then you write as usual, and when a task needs a person, your AI finds people from Folkso profiles.

Connect in ChatGPT

Folkso is in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Connect it on your computer and it works in the phone app too.

  2. 2Tap “Install plugin”
  3. 3Sign in with Google or by email, the code arrives in a few seconds
  4. 4Allow ChatGPT to work with Folkso on your behalf

Connect in Claude

In Claude, Folkso is in the connectors directory. You can also add it by the server address.

  1. 1Open Connectors in Claude
  2. 2Find Folkso, or click “Add custom connector” and paste the address below
  3. 3Click “Connect” and sign in with Google or by email
  4. 4Allow Claude to work with Folkso on your behalf

What Folkso does in a conversation

Your AI passes the task to Folkso and shows people as cards. You decide who to write to.

  • Finds people for a task. A job, a gig, a startup team, a passion project, learning, or meeting up in your city
  • Opens a person's full profile with rate, availability and work
  • Drafts a request and shows it before sending. It goes out only after you confirm
  • Tells you whether the person replied, and cancels the request if you change your mind
  • Changes the status of your own profile, if you have one

Describe the task in your own words. If your AI doesn't call Folkso on its own, add “with Folkso”.

Contacts and privacy

Other people's contacts never reach the chat or the model. You swap contacts when the person accepts your request, until then you see only the profile. The model sees your own contacts masked, only the preview card shows them in full.

Account and age

One email is one account, no password needed. Folkso is for people aged 18 and over.

How to disconnect

In ChatGPT, disconnect the plugin in Settings under Plugins, in Claude under Connectors. Your connections are also listed in your Folkso console on the ChatGPT and Claude page, with a Disconnect button.
